  In the dioxane solvate of the title complex, chloro-{2,2' -[o-phenylenebis(nitrilomethylidyne)]dinaphtholato-N,N',O,O'}iron(III), [FeCl(C28H18N2O2)]. C4H8O2, the Fe-III ion shows a distorted square-pyramidal geometry with the N2O2 atoms of the ligand at the base and the Cl atom at the apex of the pyramid.
