  Cationic Pd(II) complexes [(N2S2)Pd(II)Me][BArF] (3) and [(N2S2)Pd(II)][SO3CF3](2) (7) have been. synthesized by using a new diimine ligand 1,4-bis(2 '-(2-thienyl)ethyl)-2,3-dimethyl-1,4-diazabutadiene (N2S2) that contains semilabile pendant thienyl groups. Both complexes activated the Et3Si-H bond and catalyzed the isomerization of 1-hexene to internal hexenes.
