Syntheses, Characterization, and Crystal Structures of Two Trans Six‐Coordinate Germanium(IV) Complexes of H2tmtaa (5,14‐Dihydro‐6,8,15,17‐tetramethyldibenzo[b,i][1,4,8,11]‐tetraazacyclotetradecine)
摘要:
The reaction of Ge(trntaa)Cl-2, [5,14-dihydro-6,8,15,17-tetramethyldibenzo[b,i][ 1,4,8,11 ]tetrazacyclotetradecine (H(2)tmtaa)] and sodium cyanate or sodium acetate under mild conditions results in mononuclear six-coordinate trntaa Ge(IV) complexes, Ge(trntaa)X, [X - NCO (I); X = OCOCH3, (2)]. containing Ge-N or Ge-O bonds, respectively. Pie complexes, (1) and (2), have been characterized by IR spectra, UV spectra, mass spectra, NMR spectra, and elemental analyses, as well as DSC measurements. X-ray crystal structures of (1) and (2) reveal that the tmtaa ligand of the complexes retains the characteristic saddle-shaped configuration of H(2)tmtaa and the complexes have adopted six-coordinate geometries in which two substituents are in trans positions.
Tin(IV), germanium(IV) and silicon(IV) complexes of the dianion of 5, 14-dihydro-6,8,15,17-tetramethyldibenzo-[b,i][1,4,8,11]tetraazacyclotetradecine (H2L): crystal structures of trans-Sn(L)Cl2and trans-Sn(L)(NO3)2·MeCN
摘要:
The macrocyclic complexes M (L)X2 (H2L = 5,14-dihydro-6,8,15,17-tetramethyldibenzo[b,i] [1,4,8,11]-tetraazacyclotetradecine; M = Sn, X = Cl, Br or 1; M = Ge, X = Cl; M = Si, X = Cl) have been prepared by the reaction of the tetrahalide MX4 with HL (M = Sn or Ge) or Li2L (M = Si) under mild conditions. Treatment of Sn(L)Cl2 with AgNO3 produces Sn(L)(NO3)2, which in turn gives Sn(L)F2 upon reaction with [NBu4]F. X-Ray crystal structures of Sn(L)Cl2 and Sn(L)(NO3)2.MeCN reveal that the complexes retain the characteristic saddle-shaped configuration of the ligand but have adopted a trans geometry.

By controlling the molar ratio of Ge(tmtaa)Cl-2 and NH4SCN at 1:2 and 1:1 in CH3OH (H(2)tmtaa = 5,14-dihydro-6,8,15,17-tetramethyldibenzo[b,i] [1,4,8,11]tetraazacyclotetradecine), two kinds of germanium(IV) complexes, Ge(tmtaa)(NCS)(2) (1) and Ge(tmtaa)(Cl)(NCS) (2), were prepared and characterized by IR, UV, mass and NMR spectra as well as DSC measurements. In the IR spectrum of 1, two C=N stretching bands of NCS groups were observed at 2073 and 2043 cm(-1), while in the IR spectrum of 2, only one C=N stretching band of a NCS group appeared at 2110 cm(-1). The crystal structure of a trans six-coordinate tmtaa complex of germanium in the +IV oxidation state is reported. X-ray single crystal analysis of 1 reveals that it adopts a six-coordinate geometry in which two NCS groups are in trans positions, The bond lengths of Ge-N between the central germanium and NCS groups are 1.996(6) and 2.031(6) Angstrom. They are longer than those between the central metal and nitrogen atoms of tmtaa (1.926 Angstrom). (C) 2002 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
The first one-dimensional polymer containing non-planar macrocyclic ligand 5,14-dihydro-6,8,15,17-tetramethyldibenzo[ b , i ][1,4,8,11]tetraazacyclotetradecine
A novel non-planar macrocyclic ligand (5,14-dihydro-6,8,15,17-tetramethyldibenzo[b, i][1,4,8,11]tetraazacyclotetradecine)-containing one-dimensional polymer of germanium complex is synthesized for the first time under mild conditions. Its single-crystal Xray structure is determined. This is the first structural example of macrocyclic ligand-containing one-dimensional polymers. (C) 2004 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
