An efficient, facile, and diastereoselective synthesis of highly functionalized ferrocenyl azetidinimines from copper catalyzed one-pot, four-component reaction of ferrocenealdehyde, aromatic amines, tosyl azide, and aryl alkynes in high yield has been accomplished. A plausible reaction mechanism is provided.
