Reactions of the complexes Mo(CO)4DAB [DAB diacetyldihydrazone (DDH), glyoxalbis (cyclohexylimine (GCy(] and Mo(CO)2(PPh3)2(DAB) [DAB glyoxaldihydrazone (GDH), (GCy)], with HgX2 (X = Cl, I, SCN) and SnCl4 were studied. They give products which can be regarded as the result of oxidative addition with or without elimination of CO or PPh3, and which contain MoM′ or MoM′Mo bonds (M′ = Hg, Sn). An
