Reaction of [η5-RC5H4(CO)(μ-SPh)Mo]2 with Ru3(CO)12 in refluxing xylene afforded two novel clustercompounds, [(η5-RC5H4)2(μ3-CO)2Mo2Ru2(μ3-S)2(CO)6] (R = H, MeO2C), the structure for the cluster with R = MeO2C being unequivocally confirmed by X-ray diffraction techniques.
