Reactivity of carbonyl complexes containing MoHg bonds; reaction of tin(II) halides with [Mo(CO)3(NN)(HgX)(X)] (NN = bpy, phen, dmp); crystal structure of [Mo(CO)3(dmp)(HgCl)(Cl)]
摘要:
Reaction of HgCl2 with [Mo(CO),(dmp)] (dmp = 2,9-dimethyl-1,10-phenanthroline) gives the heterobimetallic compound [MO(CO)3(dmp)(HgCl)(Cl)] (I), which gives rise to a new compound [Mo(CO)3(dmp)(HgCl)(Cl)] . 1/2(CH3)2CO (II) in acetone solution at low temperature. The crystal structure of I has been solved and the compound shown to be a capped trigonal prism containing Mo-Hg-Cl and Mo-Cl bonds. The reactions of the above and related heteronuclear complexes [MO(CO)3(NN)(HgX)(X)] [X = Cl, Br; NN = 2,2'-bipyridine (bpy), 1,10-phenanthroline (phen)] with tin (II) halides were studied. No insertion of the latter into the metal-metal or metal-halogen bonds were observed, with only bimetallic tricarbonyl complexes containing Mo-Hg bonds being isolated.
The insertion of the [M(CO)3(NN)] fragments (M = Mo, W; NN = 2,2′-bipyridine; 1,10-phenanthroline; ethylenediamine) into the HgX (X = Cl, Br, I, N3, SCN) bonds of the [η5-C5H5Fe(CO)2(HgX)] complexes. Heterotrimetallic compounds with FeHgMX bondings

Addition of thiourea to (chloromercuri)molybdenum carbonyl complexes of the type NNMo(CO)3(HgCl)(Cl) (NN = 2,2′-bipyridine (bipy); 1,10-phenanthroline (phen); 2,9-dimethyl-1,10-phenanthroline (dmp)), give novel compounds in which the MoHg bond is retained.
