  The structure determination of (eta4-1,5-cycloocta-diene)(pyridine)[tris(4-methoxyphenyl)phosphine]iridium(I) hexafluorophosphate, [Ir(C21H21O3P)-(C8H12)(C5H5N)][PF6], revealed approximately square-planar coordination at the Ir atom. The geometry is less distorted than in related complexes with more bulky phosphines.
