  Synthetic, spectroscopic and structural investigations as well as theoretical calculations show that reaction of the d(0), four-electron donor alkyne complex [{WCl4 (PhC(2)Ph)}(2)] with the silylamines Me(3)SiNHR (R = CMe(3), CHMe(2), CH(2)Me, 2,6-CHMe(2)Ph) leads to d(2), two-electron donor alkyne complexes containing an organoimido ligand.
