摘要:
The new complexes of formula R(L)(3) . 3H(2)O, where L is the bidentate donor ligand C13H20NO4 derived of DL-valine and R is a rare earth element from Eu to Ho, have been prepared according to the following scheme:RCl3 + 3KL + 3H(2)O --> R(L)(3) . 3H(2)O +3KClAll these complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, IR, TG and DTA techniques, The ligand was also characterized by (HNMR)-H-1. The R element is coordinated to the DL-valine through the carboxylate and amino groups and the nine-coordination is completed by three coordination water molecules. Stability increases with increasing atomic number of the lanthanide element and in this way, the determined dehydration enthalpy of the Ho[C13H20NO4](3) . 3H(2)O is 15.66 Kcal mol(-1), which represents the higher melting point of all these complexes. The magnetic susceptibility measurements obey in all cases a Curic-Weiss behavior in a very wide temperature range, small deviations found at low temperatures are due to the crystal field effects.
