  By use of-the palladium-catalyzed metal-carbon bond formation reaction, the molybdenum cyclo-pentadienyl and iron indenyl iodo derivatives (eta(5)-C5H5)-Mo(CO)(3)I and (eta(5)-C9H7)Fe(CO)(2)I have been linked in a sigma fashion to the ethynyl edges of 2,5-diethynylthiophene to form the heterobimetallic complex (eta(5)-C5H5)CO)(3)-MoC=C(Thiop)C= CFe(Co)(2)(eta(5)-C9H7) (Thiop = 2,5-substituted thiophene).
