  The title complex, [CdCl2(C3H7NO)(2)(C8H8N4O2S)(2)], crystallizes in space group P (1) over bar with half a molecule in the asymmetric unit. The Cd atom lies on an inversion centre and is octahedrally coordinated to two O atoms from the dimethylformamide ligands, two S atoms from the thiosemicarbazone ligands and two Cl atoms.
