  The reaction of [Cl2Al(mu -OCH2CH2O-Pr-n)](2) (1) with NaCp leads to the formation of etheralkoxy bridged dimer [(eta (1)-C5H5)(2)Al(mu -OCH2CH2O-Pr-n)](2) (2) containing five-coordinate aluminium atoms. The compound was characterised by H-1-,C-13- and Al-27-NMR spectra and its crystal structure was determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction studies. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V.
