  氟硼酸对乙酰氢三三苯膦膦钌（II）质子化的先前工作已得到扩展。甲醇和丙酮中的初始红色物质显示为[RuH（PPh 3）3 L] +，其中L =溶剂。将甲醇溶液年龄在不存在过量的三苯基膦到的黄色[期RuH（PPH 3）2（H 2 O）2（MeOH）中] +，但在PPH的存在3至μ键合[期RuH {（η 6 -C 6 H 5）PPh 2 }（PPh 3）2 ] +。在丙酮中，最终产物为[Ru（CO 2 Me）（PPh 3）3（H 2 O）] +。

  of fluoroboric acid on dihydridotetrakis(triphenylphosphine)ruthenium(II) or on acetatohydridotris(tri-phenylphosphine) ruthenium(II) in methanol produces the salt [RuH(η6-C6H5PPh2)(PPh2)3][BF4] in which the phenyl group of one triphenylphosphine molecule is π-bonded to the metal. In the presence of benzene or toluene, similar arene complexes, [RuH(η6-Ar)(PPh3)2][BF4] are obtained.
