  摘要：

  The title compound, bromo[N-(carbamoylethyl)-alpha-alaninato-O-1,N,O-3]copper(II) complex, (CuBr(C6H11N2O3)], (1), and its hydrate, [CuBr(C6H11N2O3)].H2O, (2), both crystallize in the P2(1)2(1)2(1) space group. The crystals used for the structure analyses were enantiomorphic. There is a distinct difference in the coordination of the bromide to the copper ion with respect to the tridentate ligand. The bromide ion is syn with respect to the H1 atom in (1), while it is anti to H1 in (2).
