  Treatment of [VCl3(thf)(3)] (thf = tetrahydrofuran) with Li[C6H2(CF3)(3)-2,4,6] affords the first early transition-metal complexes containing the sigma-bonded fluoromes ligand; the molecular structures of [V{C6H2(CF3)(3)-2,4,6}Cl-2(thf)] 1 and [V{c(6)H(2)(CF3)(3)-2,4,6}3OLi(thf)(3)] 2 are described.
