    Reactions of [RhClL2] (L2 = diolefin or (CO)(PPh3)) with the deprotonated form of the ligand 3,5-bis(pyridin-2-yl)-1,2,4-triazole (Hbpt) gave neutral, mononuclear complexes [Rh(L2)(bpt)]. Cationic, mono- and dinuclear species of formulae [Rh(L2)(Hbpt)]+, [{RhL2}2(bpt)+ and [{RhL2}2(Hbpt)]2+, where L2 = diolefin, (CO)2 or (CO)(PPh3), have also been prepared. Ion-pair complexes of formulae [Rh(L2)(Hbpt)][RhCl2L2] were obtained by adding Hbpt to dichloromethane solutions of [RhClL2]2.
