  Treatment of a THF solution of trans-[FeHCl(dppe)(2)] (dppe = Ph(2)PCH(2)CH(2)PPh(2)) with HC=CCOOMe or CS2, in the presence of Tl[BF4], forms the vinyl complex cis-[Fe(CH = CHCOOMe)(dppe)(2)][BF4] or the eta(2)-dithioformate compound cis-[Fe(eta(2)-S2CH)(dppe)(2)][BF4] respectively. The molecular structure of the former is authenticated by X-ray diffraction analysis.
