Abstract The synthesis of a new ferrocenemethylated salan [H2(MeFc)2]-salan ligand (L) and its palladium complex [PdII(MeFc)2]-salan (I) is described. The ligand and its complex I were characterized by 1H, 13C1H} 2D-NMR techniques, IR spectroscopy and mass spectrometry.
