  The two novel complexes [Cr(CO)5(B2H4·2PMe3)](2) and [Cr(CO)4(B2H4·2PMe3)](3) containing B2H4·2PMe3(1), have been synthesized by photochemical reaction of Cr(CO)6 with (1), (2) being the first complex that contains a polyborane co-ordinated to metal only through a single M–H–B linkage; X ray crystal structures of compounds (2) and (3) are reported.
