  A high-spin iron(III) chloro complex [(PaPPy3)Fe(Cl)](ClO4) (1, where PaPPy3-=N,N-bis(2-pyridylmethyl)amine-N-propyl-2-pyridine-2-carboxamide) has been synthesized via the "template effect" and structurally characterized.
