Magnetisation transfer measurements have been applied to the 13C n.m.r. spectrum of Fe(η4-C8H8)(CO)2(CNPri) to demonstrate specific transfer, completely consistent with the WoodwardâHoffmann mechanism, but inconsistent with the least motion mechanism.
