    A novel and direct synthetic route for the syntheses of hexacoordinated cupric complexes involving bidentate N,N-donor ligands has been elaborated. This synthetic strategy has been successfully applied for the preparation of mixed-ligand tris(chelates).[GRAPHICS]pathways and that reaction from the lowest lying LF triplet level occurs with a greatly reduced photoefficiency.
