The Effect of Open and Closed Structures of Titanocenes on the Control of Diastereoselectivity of Radical Reactions
摘要:
A comparison of the X-ray structures of dichlorobis{(1-methylcyclohexyl)-eta(5)-Cyclopentadienyl}-titanium (1) and dichlorobis{(1-butyl-1-methylbutyl)-eta(5)cyclopentadienyl}titanium (2), containing tertiary alkyl substituents, and the known complex dichlorobis(cyclo-hexyl-eta(5) 5-cyclopentadienyl)titanium (3), with two cyclohexyl substituents, has been carried out. The structural features are of relevance for the understanding of activity and selectivity of these complexes in diastereoselective additions of acrylates beta-titanoxy radicals and for the design of novel catalysts.
