  A diolate-bridged Fe-12 member of the "ferric wheel" class of molecular wheels has been obtained to complement the known MeO--bridged members such as the prototypical Fe-10 wheel; reaction of these Fe-10 and Fe-12 ferric wheels with N-based chelates has given Fe-4 and Fe-12 molecular rectangles and squares, respectively.
