Synthesis, spectroscopic properties and crystal structures of SnBr2[S2CN(CH2CH2)2O]2, (4-F-C6H4CH2)2Sn(Cl)S2CN(CH2CH2)2O and (2-F-C6H4CH2)3SnS2CN(CH2CH2)2O

Three organotin(IV) complexes with dithiomorpholincarbamate ligand: SnBr2[S2CN(CH2CH2)(2)O](2) (1), (4-F-C6H4CH2)(2)Sn(Cl) S2CN(CH2CH2)(2)O (2) and (2-F-C6H4CH2)(3)SnS2CN(CH2CH2)(2)O (3) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR. UV and NMR. Their crystal and molecular structures have been determined by X-ray single crystal diffraction. In the complex 1. the tin atom is rendered six-coordination in a distorted octahedron configuration. And in the complexes 2 and 3, the tin atoms are rendered five-coordination in a distorted trigonal bipyramidal structure. (C) 2004 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
