  The crystal structure of the title compound, [CO(NH3)(6)]-(S2O3)Cl . H2O, consists of discrete ions and water molecules of hydration. The [Co(NH3)(6)](3+) cation in the asymmetric unit is distributed between two different symmetry centres. The water molecule and the ions are linked in the crystal by weak hydrogen bonds and inter-ionic contacts.
