  The new silylphosphinites, (4-CH3C6H4)2POSiMe3(L) and [(4-CH3C6H4)2PO]2SiMe2(L-L) have been synthesised along with the manganese complexes cis-MnBr(CO)4L, trans,mer-MnBr(CO)3L2 and fac-MnBr(CO)3(L-L). The results of a single crystal X-ray diffraction study of cis-MnBr(CO)4L are also reported.
