Synthesis and characterization of Co(II), Ni(II), and Cu(II) complexes containing an eight-membered disulfanenitrile chelating ring
摘要:
New types of lambda(6)-sulfanenitrile-transition metal complexes, [MCl(2)(ndsdsd)] (1) and [M(ndsdsd)(2)]Cl(2) (2) (M = Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II)), were obtained by reacting MCl(2) with bis[(nitrilo(diphenyl)-lambda(6)-sulfanyl)](diphenyl)-lambda(6)-sulfanediimide Ph(2)S(= N-(Ph(2))S, N)(2) (ndsdsd). The crystal structures of these complexes have been elucidated by X-ray crystallographic analysis. The results revealed that, in complexes 1 and 2, the two terminal nitrogen atoms chelate to the metal center to form an eight-membered sulfur-nitrogen ring. (C) 2008 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
