                                Pyrolysis of Os3(CO)10(PFcPh2)2 and Os3(CO)11(PFc2Ph) affords Os3(CO)8(H)2[PAr(C6H5)(eta-C5H3)Fe(eta-C5H4)] (Ar = C6H5 (3a), Fc (3b), respectively). Os3(CO)7(H)(PPr(i))[Fe(eta-C5H4PPr(i)2)(eta-C5H4)] (4) is a product of the thermolysis of Os3(CO)10[Fe(eta-C5H4PPr(i)2)2]. 3b: triclinic, space group P1BAR (No. 2), a = 13.878 (2) angstrom, b = 14.145 (3) angstrom, c = 10.698 (2) angstrom, alpha = 104.28 (1)-degrees, beta = 110.88 (1)-degrees, gamma = 63.91 (1)-degrees. 3a: monoclinic, space group P2(1)/c (No. 14), a = 9.484 (3) angstrom, b = 18.144 (4) angstrom, c = 17.421 (3) angstrom, beta = 90.10 (2)-degrees. 4: monoclinic, space group P2(1)/n (No. 14), a = 8.910 (3) angstrom, b = 22.784 (2) angstrom, c = 15.416 (2) angstrom, beta = 98.25 (2)-degrees. The complexes are electron precise if the Fe --> Os bonds of length 2.830 (1) (3a), 2.826 (1) (3b), and 2.813 (1) angstrom (4) are included.
