The following compounds have been prepared and characterized: [Mo(eta-C(5)H(4)R)Cl-3(NBu(t))] (R=H, Me or Pr-i). [{MoCl3(mu-Cl)(NBu(t))}(2)], cis- and trans-[{Mo(eta-C(5)H(4)Me)(NBu(t))(mu-NBu(t))}(2)], [{Mo(eta-C(5)H(4)Me)O(mu-NBu(t))}(2)], [Mo(eta-C(5)H(4)Me)(eta-C2H4)Me)(eta-C2H4(NBu(t))], [Mo(eta-C5H5)(eta-C2H4)Ph(NBu(t))], [Mo(eta-C(5)H(4)Me) (eta-C2H4)(H or D)(NBu(t))], [Mo(eta-C(5)H(4)Me)(PMe(3))Cl(NBu(t))], [Mo(eta-C(5)H(4)Me)(PMe(3))Me(NBu(t))], [Mo(eta-C(5)H(4)Me)(PMe(3))(2)(NBu(t))](+)A(-) (A = Cl or BF4). [Mo(eta-C(5)H(4)Me)(PMe(3)Ph)Cl(NBu(t))], isomers of [Mo(eta-C(5)H(4)R)(eta-C3H5) (NBUt)] (R = Me or Pr-i), and [Mo(mu-C5H4Me)(eta-C2H4)(sigma-C3H5)(NBu(t))]. The crystal structure of [{MoCl3(mu-Cl)(NBu(t))}(2)] has been determined. These compounds include the first or rare examples of combinations of ligands with the imido group, for example, imido eta 3-allyl derivatives.
