Synthesis of the dimeric, N substituted μ2-O aminoalkoxy complexes of rhenium [(CO)3Re(μ2-O∩NHR)]2

The allyl rhenium complex Re(CO)(4)(eta(3)-C3H5) (1) reacts with the N substituted amino alcohols 2a-f to give the N substituted dimeric mu2-O-bridged tricyclic aminoalkoxy complexes of rhenium of the type [(CO)(3)Re(mu(2)-(ONHR)-N-boolean AND)](2) (3a-f). The compounds have been characterized by spectroscopic (IR, NMR, NIS), analytical (C, H, N) and X-ray diffraction techniques (3a-f). (C) 2003 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
