Synthesis, structure and fluorescence of Eu2(NAP)6(PHEN)2 (NAPH=α-naphthoic acid; PHEN=1,10-phenanthroline)
摘要:
Europium complex, Eu-2(NAP)(6)(PHEN)(2) (NAPH = alpha-naphthoic acid; PHEN = 1,10-phenanthroline), was synthesized and characterized by EA, IR, X-ray single-crystal diffraction. The crystal data: triclinic system, space group, P - 1, a = 12.2105(8), b = 12.8368(9), c = 13.0969(9) Angstrom, V = 1789.4(2) Angstrom(3), Z = 1, D-c = 1.570 g cm(-3), mu(Mo K-alpha) = 1.807 cm(-1), F(000) = 848, R = 0.0496, wR = 0.0795. X-ray diffraction shows that each Eu(III) atom was coordinated in a distorted capped square antiprism geometry (N2O7), in which PHEN molecule acts in chelating by two nitrogen atoms and two carboxylate groups function in chelating style, the other two carboxylate groups function in the less common eta(2) : eta(1) : mu(2) bridging-chelate and the last two carboxylate groups operate in the eta(1) : eta(1) : mu(2) bridging fashion mode fashion. The result of spectra indicates that the title complex has excellent luminescence properties. (C) 2003 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
