摘要:
The reaction of the anhydrous chlorides, MCl3, with the respective sulfates M-2(SO4)(3) (M = La, Pr) in equimolar ratios yields the chloride-sulfates LaClSO4 and PrClSO4, respectively. Single crystal investigations show that they are isotypic and crystallize with the monoclinic space group P2(1)/n (LaClSO4: a = 675.88(7) pm, b = 815.05(9) pm, c=851.41(9)pm, beta=112.58(2); R1=1.86%; PrClSO4: a= 669.27(9) pm, b = 801.67(7) pm, c = 843.60(10) pm, beta= 112.36(1) R1=1.63%). The M3+ ions are coordinated by five oxygen and three chlorine atoms. The coordination polyhedron is a distored bicapped trigonal prism.
