    The synthesis of the Ir(H(n)BPz4-n)(cod) (n = 2, 0; Pz = pyrazolyl; cod = cycloocta-1,5-diene) complexes is described. They are prepared by reaction of [Ir(mu-Cl)(cod)]2 with Tl(H(n)BPz4-n). The carbonyl compounds Ir(H(n)BPz4-n)(CO)2 (n = 2, 0) are obtained by carbonylation of the cycloocta-1,5-diene derivatives. The preparations of the [Ir(coe)2{N(CH2Pz)3}]BF4 (coe = cyclooctene) and [M(cod){N(CH2Pz)3}]BF4 (M = Ir, Rh) compounds are also reported. They are prepared by treatment of [Ir(mu-Cl)(coe)2]2 or [M(mu-Cl)(cod)]2 with N(CH2Pz)3 and NaBF4. The carbonyl compound [Rh(CO)2{N(CH2Pz)3}]BF4 is obtained by carbonylation of [Rh(cod){N(CH2Pz)3}]BF4.
