  The reaction, of [Li{eta(2)-OC(Mes')AsC(Mes')O}(OEt2)] Mes' = C6H2Pr3i-2,4,6, with [{RhCl(COD)}(2)], COD = 1,5-C8H12, in, either a 1:2 or 2:1 stoichiometry yields the novel rhodium-diacylarsenido complex es, [{Rh(COD)}(2)-mu-Cl-mu{As[C(O)Mes'](2)}] and [Rh(COD){eta(1-)As[C(Mes')O](2)Li(OEt2)Cl}], respectively. The X-ray crystal structure of each is described and mechanisms for their formations proposed.
