  The reaction of [Ru(C5Me5)Cl-2](2) with an excess of 1,3-cyclononadiene in the presence of metallic zinc leads to Ru(C5Me5)(1,2,3,6,7-eta(5)-C9H13), in which the nine-membered ring provides both allyl and olefin coordinations, linked together on each side by C2H4 bridges.
