The complex C5H5(PPr3i)RhCCH2 reacts with C6H6Cr(CO)3 upon UV irradiation, and with C5H5Mn(CO)2THF and Fe2(CO)9 at room temperature, to give the heterometallic dinuclear complexes C5H5(PPr3i)Rh(μ-CCH2)(μ-CO)ML (III: ML = Cr(CO)C6H6; V, ML = Mn(CO)C5H5; VI: ML = Fe(CO)3). The crystal structures of V and VI have been determined.
