  Reaction of S4N4O2 with PtCl2(PMe2Ph)2 in liquid ammonia gives the title compound which is the first example of a PtS2N3 ring system, as shown by X-ray crystallography; the molecule consists of a square planer PtII with a puckered PtS2N3 ring.
