The mononuclear 16-electron dithio-o-carboranylcobalt(III) complex CpCo(S2C2B10H10) (2) was obtained by the reaction of CpCo(CO)I2 with dilithium dithio-o-carborane, Li2[S2C2B10H10] (1).
