    The complex [Ir(2)(mu-SC(6)F(5))(2)(cod)(2)] (1) (cod = 1,5-cyclooctadiene), readily prepared in good yield from [Ir(2)(mu-OMe)(2)(cod)(2)], combines with Ph(3)SiH and XNC (XNC = 2,6-dimethylphenylisocyanide, xylyl isocyanide) in benzene to give [Ir(SC(6)F(5))(H)(SiPh(3))-(XNC)(3)] (2). With XNC alone, in CH(2)Cl(2), 1 reacts to give, among other, unidentified products, [Ir(3)(mu-SC(6)F(5))(2)(SC(6)F(5))(mu,mu'-XNC)(XNC)(4)(cod)] (3).
