been developed for the preparation of ligands bearing two to six pendent, unsubstituted or substituted 2, 2′-bipyridine groups attached to acyclic (tripode, tetrapode) and macrocyclic (triazanonade-cane, cyclam, hexacyclen, bis(bipyrido)hexaazamacrocycle) polyamines. Ligands 1-5 have been obtained in high yield by condensation of 6-(bromomethyl)-2, 2′-bipyridine (9b) with the corresponding amines in

Quinazoline derivatives represented by general formula (1) and quinazoline complexes as protein kinase inhibitors, and their preparation methods are provided. Wherein, in general formula (1), at least one of R and R′ is a group containing an atom capable of coordinating with noble metals, m and n are either the same or different and are integers from 0 to 5. Said quinazoline complex as protein kinase inhibitor is formed by coordination compound containing noble metal and said quinazoline derivative ligand capable of coordinating with noble metal in the coordination compound. Used as tyrosine protein kinase inhibitors, Quinazoline derivatives and quinazoline complexes as protein kinase inhibitors provided by the present invention have exhibited good inhibitory effect on proliferation of various tumor cells including human breast cancer cells line (drug-resistant) MCF-7/A, human breast cancer cell line (sensitive) MCF-7/S, prostate cancer cell PC-3, keratinocytes Colo-16, human non-small cell lung cancer cell line A549, etc.

A series of pyridine and bipyridine molecules combining dual fluorescent (dansyl) and magnetic (free radical) probes has been prepared by a linear multistep protocol from the corresponding monodansylated derivatives. The grafting of the flexible aliphatic radical is realized by the use of a chloromethylnitronyl nitroxide derivative under basic conditions and with KI as a mediator. The synthetic potential of 2-[(5-dimethylamino-1-naphthalenesulfon-amide)methyl]-6-formylpyridine is assessed by the construction, in a first step, of an aliphatic nitroxide radical and subsequently of an additional aromatic radical. The synthetic methods reported herein provide a practical approach to the rational design of ligands bearing various kinds of functionalities such as chromogenic and spin-labeled fragments. A significant merit of this method is that it allows the introduction of the fluorescent substituent onto the pyridine or bipyridine framework at the beginning of the synthetic protocol.
and lower activity for the oxidation of water by [Ru(DIQ-Bpy)(H2O)]2+. A kinetic study of wateroxidation by [Ru(DPA-Bpy)(H2O)]2+ suggests a mononuclear pathway for the oxidation of water. The noncovalent interaction between isoquinoline groups in [Ru(DIQ-Bpy)(H2O)]2+, which favors the formation of dinuclear species, might account for the lower activity for wateroxidation by [Ru(DIQ-Bpy)(H2O)]2+.
